Dear Project Management Expert,

No risk for projects is bigger and less necessary than the risk of critical weaknesses of the people who manage the projects, from the initiation to the handover.

The IPMA Expert Seminar 2012 continues the successful new concept of 2011: The general direction is the Future Trends in Project, Programme and Portfolio Management. But what are such trends? We'll present and discuss the following themes

  1. Changing 'permanent' organisations, project offices, free lancers, subcontractors and virtual teams
  2. Professional management of the behavioural competences and the project context and culture, networking
  3. Revival of the project content and its management, business case, strategy and appropriate, fitting projects
  4. New generations' work and life style, new ways and means of communication and decision making

The context of the projects and project owners is becoming more international. Many projects are still local, but their success depends on international conditions. Understanding the local businesses is necessary but not sufficient. Each IPMA Expert Seminar brought new insights and useful advancements. This was the feedback of the last four Expert Seminars since 2008 and this is our final motivation to organise this event again.

If you want to be a member of our international group of experts, to see more than nearby individual views and your own culture, and break the ground for your future project management strength, do not hesitate to register, using our website www.ipma-expertseminar.com for online registration. Seminar fee is in €. Lower price for early bird registration until 17th Dec 2011.

Welcome in Zurich!

Dr. Hans Knoepfel

Honorary President of the Swiss Project Management Association
